Totally opaque, black, dark red colour with a deep, dark red, black-tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry, aniseed and dark plum aromas meld into vanillin oak, fennel and spice. Dark, rich and plush the palate is filled with ripe blackberry, aniseed and dark chocolate flavours which intermesh with prominent vanillin oak and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dark chocolate, ripe blackberries, vanillin oak and spice.
Extended aging in the bottle before release integrates the unique characters of this premium shiraz over time.
